    Sportzworkz has been retained by the JV of the International Management Group and Reliance Industries Limited (“IMGR”) to consult them towards an international quality production of the on-going I-League. As many as 90 LIVE games would have to covered under our supervision and to bridge the production standards that are available domestically and those that are required internationally. The I-League is LIVE on Ten Action Plus in English, Newstime – Bangla in Bengali and Newstime – Assam in Assamese.

We have been covering different sports events happening across the world and provide content to our subscribed partners. Some major event we have covered in past are as follows:

1. Asia Cup 2014

  • The 2014 Asia Cup was the twelfth edition of the Asia Cup cricket tournament. The tournament was held in Bangladesh from 25 February to 8 March 2014. Pakistan was the defending champions, having won the previous tournament. The tournament included the four Asian test-playing nations, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka and ICC Associate member Afghanistan. This was the first 50-over tournament in which Afghanistan took part. Ten league matches were played along with the final. Sri Lanka beat Pakistan were two nations to reach final, in which Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan to become the Asia Cup champions for the fifth time.

2. India tour of New Zealand 2013/14

  • The India cricket team toured New Zealand, playing a five-match One Day International series and two Test matches against the New Zealand national team from 19 January to 18 February 2014. India lost both the ODI series and the Test series by 4-0 and 1-0 respectively. Sportzworkz did the news coverage for the event.

3. India tour of South Africa 2013/14

  • The Indian cricket team toured South Africa from 5 to 30 December 2013, playing three One Day Internationals (ODI) and two Test matches against the hosts. Mahendra Singh Dhoni led the Indian team while AB de Villiers captained South Africa for ODIs and Graeme Smith for Tests. The tour began with the three-match ODI series, with South Africa winning the series 2–0. Quinton de Kock, South Africa’s wicket keeper became the fifth player to score three centuries in consecutive innings of ODIs. South Africa won the Test series 1–0, the first Test ending in a draw. Jacques Kallis, the country’s most prolific run-scorer in Tests, announced his retirement from the format after the second Test at Durban.

4. West Indies tour of India 2013

  • The West Indies cricket team toured India, playing two Test matches and a three-match One Day International series against the Indian national team from 31 October to 27 November 2013. The Board of Control hastily arranged the series, not initially in the ICC FTP, following the postponement of India’s scheduled tour to South Africa. The series has been most notable for Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar’s retirement from all forms of cricket at the conclusion of the second Test, which was his 200th overall.

5. Australia tour of India 2013

  • The Australia national cricket team toured India between 10 October to 2 November 2013, playing a Twenty20 International match and seven-match ODI series against India. During the second ODI match, all of the first five Australian batsmen made a score of fifty or more, a feat that no side had previously done. In the second match, India chased down the target of 360 runs to win, making this the second highest run-chase to win an ODI game. In the seventh and final match, Indian batsman Rohit Sharma became the third man to make a double-century in ODI cricket, when he scored 209 from 158 balls.

6. Champions League 2013

  • The 2013 Champions League Twenty20 (CLT20) was the fifth edition of Champions League Twenty20, was held in India from 17 September to 6 October 2013. Sydney Sixers were the defending champions but they failed to qualify for the event. During the finals on 6 October 2013, in a re-match of the opening game, the Mumbai Indians won their 2nd CLT20 title after bowling out the Rajasthan Royals, defeating them by 33 runs. Sportzworkz provided the news feed to all the subscribed channels.

7. India tour of Zimbabwe 2013

  • The Indian cricket team toured Zimbabwe from 24 July 2013 to 3 August 2013. The tour consisted of five One Day Internationals. India won the series 5-0. It was their first 5-0 ODI series sweep in an away series. The first three ODIs were played in Harare Sports Club, Harare, and the last two in Queens Sports Club, Bulawayo. It was the first tour for Virat Kohli as the captain of the national side.

8. West Indies Tri-Nation Series 2013

  • The West Indies Triangular Series in 2013 was held between India, Sri Lanka and the West Indies. The first round of group fixtures was held at Sabina Park, Kingston with the second round and the final held at Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain. The series has been named Celkon Mobile Cup. India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was ruled out by the tri series due to right hamstring problems during 2nd ODI in the series. Therefore the Indian captaincy was given to Virat Kohli. Ambati Rayudu has been named for Dhoni’s replacement. India won the tri-series trophy after their last-over, one-wicket win against Sri Lanka.

9. Champions Trophy:- June

  • The 2013 ICC Champions Trophy is a One Day International cricket tournament being held in England and Wales between 6 and 23 June 2013. Three cities will host the tournament’s matches: London (at The Oval), Birmingham (at Edgbaston) and Cardiff (at the SWALEC Stadium, known as Cardiff Wales Stadium for the tournament). The winners of the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy will earn $2 million in prize money, the largest amount since the tournament’s inception. 10. Indian Premier League 6 April – May

  • The 2013 season of the Indian Premier League, abbreviated as IPL 6 or IPL 2013, is the sixth season of the Indian Premier League, established by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in 2007. The tournament features nine teams and is held from 3 April to 26 May 2013.The opening ceremony was held at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata on 2 April 2013. This is the first season with PepsiCo as the title sponsor. TheKolkata Knight Riders were the defending champions, having won the 2012 season. A spot fixing case was revealed by Delhi Police, leading to arrest of three cricketers from Rajasthan Royals and other persons. 11. Australia Tour of India :- Feb March 2013

  • The Australian cricket team toured India from 12 February to 26 March 2013, playing a four-match Test series against India. India won the four Test series in a 4–0 whitewash to win the Border–Gavaskar Trophy. During the 1st Test, Mahendra Singh Dhoni set the highest score by an Indian Test captain, scoring 224 runs, beating the previous record held by Sachin Tendulkar.Sportzworkz provided the news Feed to all the subscribed channels.

12. England Tour of India :- 2012-2013

  • The England cricket team toured India from 30 October 2012 to 27 January 2013. The tour consisted of four Test matches, five One Day Internationals and two Twenty20 International matches. The England team returned to the United Kingdom after the Twenty20 series and returned in the new year for the One Day International series. England’s 2–1 Test series win was their first series victory in India since the 1984–85 tour. Sportzworkz provided the news Feed to all the subscribed channels.

13. ICC World T20 2012

  • The fourth edition of the 2012 ICC World Twenty20, was held from September 18 to October 7, 2012 and was hosted by Sri Lanka. The Winners of the tournament were West Indies who defeated Sri Lanka by 36 runs. This was West Indies first appearance in a world cricket final since 1983 and their first victory since 1979. Sportzworkz provided the news feed to all the subscribed channels.

14. New Zealand Tour of India 2012

  • New Zealand played two Test matches and two Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) in India as part of their preparations for theICC World T20 in September in Sri Lanka. The series started with a Test match on 23 August 2012 and ended with a T20I on 11 September 2012.India won the 2-match series 2–0 while New Zealand clinched the T20 series 1-0. 15. India Tour of Sri Lanka 2012

  • The Indian cricket team toured Sri Lanka from 21 July to 7 August 2012. The tour consisted of five One Day Internationals(ODIs) and one Twenty20 International (T20I). India won the 5- match series 4-1 and also the 1 match T20series. Sportzworkz provided the news feed to all the subscribed channels.

16. Asia Cup 2012

  • The 2012 Asia cup was the 11 edition of the tournament and was held in Bangladesh. The tournament featured four test playing nations from Asia – India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. India went into the tournament as the defending champion but could not retain their reign as Pakistan won the tournament by beating Bangladesh in the finals by 2 runs.

17. IPL 5 2012

  • The 2012 Indian Premier League season was the fifth edition of the Indian Premier League. The tournament began on 4 April and ended on 27 May 2012. Kolkata Knight Riders emerged as the winner of the IPL 5 as they beat defending champion Chennai Super Kings in the finals by five wickets. This season the number of team in the league went from ten to nine with the termination of Kochi Tuskers Kerala.

18. India tour of Australia 2011-12

  • The Indian cricket team toured Australia from 15 December 2011 to 28 February 2012, with the wait of Tendulkar’s 100th ton continued. The tour included four test, two Twenty 20s and eight ODIs as a part of Commonwealth Bank Tri- Series against both Australia and Sri Lanka.

  • India put up a dismal performance as they went down 4-0 to Australia in the Border Gavaskar Trophy. Australia Captain Michael Clarke was named the player of the series, having scored 629 runs at an average of 125.20.

  • The T20 series was drawn 1-1, while in the ODIs India finished third, with three wins, one tie and four losses from its eight ODIs.

19. England Tour of Indian (14 October-29 October)

  • The England cricket team tour India from 14 October to 29 October 2011. The tour consisted of one Twenty20 International and five One Day Internationals. India won the ODI series 5-0 while England could only manage to win the only T20. Sportzworkz provided the news feed to all the subscribed channels.

20. Champions League T20 2011

  • The 2011 Champions League Twenty20 was the third edition of the Champions League Twenty20. It was held in India from 19 September to 9 October 2011. The defending champions were the Chennai Super Kings. The Mumbai Indians emerged as the winners of the tournament, defeating the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the final. David Warner from the New South Wales Blues won the Golden Bat Award, while Lasith Malinga was awarded the Golden Wicket Award and declared the Player of the Tournament.

21. India’s Tour of England (Jul-Sep-11):

  • The historic series which saw the two sides play the 1000th test match in the history of the game and the 100th test match between the two nations. India were the no. 1 test team before the series began and England were at no. 3. After the series, the teams swapped positions in the rankings table courtesy England’s 4-0 whitewash against India. India also lost one T20I and the 5 match ODI series 3-0 and saw themselves drop to 5th position in the ICC ODI rankings.

  • Indian fans wanted to see Sachin Tendulkar score his hundredth international century but that did not happen as the English bowling attack came down heavily on the Indian batting line-up. Rahul Dravid’s batting was a  silver lining for India in the whole series as he anchored the innings and defied the English attack at a time when his team mates were falling like nine pins.

22. India’s Tour of West Indies (Jun-Jul-11):

  • India’s tour to the Caribbean saw them play 3 Tests, 5 ODIs & 1 T20I. India won the T20I and both the Test & ODI Series. The tour also witnessed a historic moment when Harbhajan Singh took his 400th Test wicket by dismissing Carlton Baugh on the second day of the third Test match in Roseau, Dominica.

23. I-League 2nd Division Football (May-11):

  • We were appointed as the official electronic news agency by the All India Football Federation for covering the final leg of I-League 2nd Division Football Championship in Shillong. Sportzworkz covering the event from May 07, 2011 to May 14, 2011. A total of 12 matches were played in this duration and we provided the following on each match day.

24. Sanjay Manjrekar Byte (on IPL 4 Final Match) [May-11]:

  • Sportzworkz got the opportunity to record Sanjay Manjrekar’s byte on the final match of IPL 2011 between Chennai Super Kings & Royal Challengers Bangalore for his weekly IPL update that he did for ESPN Cricinfo called Manjrekar’s IPL Weekly.

26. Indian Premier League-Season 4 (Apr-May-11):

  • Chennai Super Kings won their second consecutive IPL title after defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore by 58 runs in the final of the fourth season of IPL. Chris Gayle, who was also the highest run-getter, was named the man of the tournament by scoring 608 runs, hitting 44 sixes and taking 8 wickets whereas Lasith Malinga took 28 wickets to become the highest wicket taker.

27. ICC World Cup 2011 (Feb-Apr-11):

  • The 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup was the tenth Cricket World Cup. It was played in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Fourteen national cricket teams competed in the tournament, including ten full members and four associate members. India won the tournament defeating Sri Lanka by 6 wickets in the final held at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. India became the first nation to win a World Cup Final on home soil. India’s Yuvraj Singh was declared the man of the tournament.

28. India’s Tour of South Africa (Dec-Jan-10/11):

  • India played a three match test series, only one Twenty20 International and five match ODI series in South Africa. They drew the test match series 1-1 but lost the ODI series 2-3. With regards to news feed, we catered to clients like Pearls Broadcasting Pvt. Ltd., Times Now and IBN 18.

29. 16th Asian Games (Nov-10):

  • Sportzworkz consulted with a few channels across Afghanistan and were instrumental in getting the Asian Games (held in Guangzhou in November 2010) to viewers in Afghanistan. We helped the channels broker a deal with the Asian Broadcasting Union and for the first time in Afghanistan’s history, the Asian Games were beamed live into the households in Daro and Pushto Languages.

30. Federation Cup Football 2010 (Oct-10):

  • Sportzworkz was the official provider of news feed to the All India Football Federation (AIFF) for the Federation Cup Football Tournament held in Cuttack, Orissa.

31. Champions League T20 (Sep-10):

  • The Airtel Champions League T20 Cricket Tournament was held in South Africa. We covered the event in order to provide news feed to ESPN Software, Broadcast Initiatives Associated Broadcasting Company, INX News, Sahara India, Media Content & Comm. Service Pvt. Ltd., IBN 18 & NEO Sports.

32. World Billiards Championship (Aug-10):

  • The prestigious World Billiards Championships were held in Pune in August 2010. Sportzworkz had the honour to cover the event and provide news feed to Zee News.

33. India’s Tour of Sri Lanka (Jul-Aug-10):

  • We provided news feed for the test series as well as the one-day tri-series that followed after that to NEO Sports, INS, Sahara India, Times Global, IBN 18.

34. Tour De Delhi (Aug-10):

  • Sportzworkz covered the pre-event promotional activities of the Tour De Delhi Cycle Race held in New Delhi on 29th August 2010. The feed was given to ID Sports.

35. Asia Cup Cricket (Jun-10):

  • India defeated Sri Lanka by 81 runs in the final of the tenth edition of the Asia Cup Cricket tournament held in Sri Lanka which saw India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan & Bangladesh compete against each other. IBN 18, IANS were supplied with the news feeds by us.

36. Indian Premier League-Season 2 (Apr-May-09):

  • IPL 2009 was held with much excitement in South Africa. Sportzworkz also shared the excitement in the form of news feed with clients like News 24, ESPN, ZEE Sports, Times Now. Deccan Chargers, under the leadership of Adam Gilchrist, emerged as the champions.

37. India’s Tour of New Zealand (Feb-Mar-09):

  • Sportzworkz started providing news feed to clients like News 24, ESPN-Star Sports, ZEE Sports, Times Now through the secure FTP mode of file transfer. It was a 2-month long tour in which India played 3 Tests, 5 ODIs & 2 T20Is. India won the Test & ODI series whereas New Zealand won the T20 series.
