Sunfeast Open Tennis Event

Sunfeast Open 2005 was one of the biggest WTA tennis event ever hosted in the country. This was organized by GLOBOSPORT owned by tennis ace Mahesh Bhupathi. The tennis stars who participated in this event were Indian sensation Sania Mirza, world no. 17 Myskina, the US based Uberoi sisters, Bhupathi's mixed double partner Elena Likhovtseva, and world no. 2 doubles Virginia Ruano Pascoal, and so on. Kolkata hosted this prestigious event at their newly renovated Netaji Subhas Indoor Stadium from 19th to 25th September.

Sportzworkz produced the curtain raiser and the post event review show. This was telecast on the TEN SPORTS channel.In the preview show of half an hour, we showed the idea behind the event. We covered the city getting prepared for the event, the enthusiasm of the people, and the renovation of the stadium.

We introduced the top stars who participated in this event in a very stylized manner. It also contained 'the street tennis' played by Mahesh and Sania at the Bangalore Vidhan Sabha. The show had exclusive interviews of Bhupathi, Sania Mirza, Uberoi Sisters, ITC bosses, Charu Sharma, Anirban Das Blah and so on. It was a fast cut show which held the viewers attention throughout.

ITC idea behind the preview show was, "that which is able to drive eyeballs on to the telecast", and that's exactly what it did.

The review show was of two hours. Charu Sharma, who was one of the presenters of the event, hosted it. This was basically a summary of the whole event. It informed about the winners and the main happenings at the show plus there was some special features on players buggy ride in Kolkota, wills lifestyle fashion show in which all the top players walked on the ramp & there was some tennis clinic for kids in which Myskina & Sania gave some useful tips to kids.
