SAFF Cup 2011

The 9th edition of the South Asian Football Federation Championship or the SAFF Championship 2011 was held in New Delhi from 2 to 11 December 2011 and the venue for the event was "Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium". 8 Teams divided into two groups took part in the event with India, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Bhutan constituting 'Group 'A' while Maldives, Bangladesh, Nepal and Pakistan forming Group 'B'.

India successfully retained the SAFF Championships title, coming through 4-0 against Afghanistan after a feisty final at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. The first half was completely dominated by Afghanistan however India came back strongly in the second to take a lead in the 71st minute. This opened the floodgate as India scored 3 more to make final score-line 4-0 in their favour.

There were total of 15 matches played in this championship and Sportzworkz produced each and every match to be aired live on Ten Action+.
